What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?
The sad reality of my life is my mornings Monday-Friday normally look like this.
- 5:30 AM My Ocean Waves alarm wakes me up and I. . . usually ignore it.
- 6:15 AM If I’m awake enough, I roll out of bed, do some stretches, maybe pop into the shower, do light makeup, wash my face.
- By 6:45 AM I am in my car running off to school
It is sad, but normally this is what it looks like because I need to be at my job by 7:30 every day and I drive 40 minutes to get there.
What my day looks like on the weekend or on my breaks is WAY different.
- 7:30-8:00 AM I wake up, stretch, and gradually leave my bed.
- 8:30 ish I do yoga for 30 minutes and some meditation.
- 9:30 is I eat breakfast or start making it.
I wish my mornings could look different, like I could go on beautiful nature walks near the mountains, do yoga in the grass and sketch BUT. . . I live in a sketchy area that is basically desert.
This summer, one of my goals is to remake my mornings, so they can look way different. I want to wake up refreshed and happy, rather than rushed and overworked.
