Who was your most influential teacher? Why?
My most influential teacher was probably my Muslim and Christian History teacher in college Mr. Peck. He taught me how to keep an open mind about history and not let biases or ignorance keep me from learning new things.
He also was a great example of how I can work with multiple interests at once without feeling overwhelmed. He had a PHD in Arabic law, but also was classically trained in opera. My goal is to become as open to new knowledge as possible, and I often look back on him for inspiration.
